Renaissance International Freight Forwarding Inc.

The name Renaissance International Freight Forwarding Inc. was inspired by the Renaissance period of art and architecture, painting, and sculpture. This period in our history, broadly speaking, spanned some 200 years between 1400 and 1600. The word "renaissance" literally means “rebirth” and is the French translation of the Italian "renascita". The Renaissance period in history corresponds to the beginning of the great Western age of discovery and exploration, when a general desire was developed to examine all aspects of nature and the world. During the Renaissance period, artists, for time, emerged as independent personalities, comparable to poets and writers seeking new solutions to formal problems. This period in history spawned a wave of avid exploration; sea captains became more daring in seeking new routes to Asia, which resulted in the discovery and eventual colonization of North and South America. For the principals of Renaissance International, in 1994 it was a company being “reborn”. An opportunity to recreate and explore the business of international transportation in its classic form.
