SIGMA TRANS srl (ACTUALLY SIGMA TRANS INTERNATIONAL srl) was established in 1974 and relocated in 1990 to new H.Q. in Rodano, Milan which is only 5 km from both the new intermodal terminal in Segrate as well as Milan-Linate airport and only 10 Km from the main A4 Milan/Venice highway. The new H.Q. is on a 10000 square metre (12000 sq. yd.) site and includes 3000 square metres (3600 sq. yd.) of covered, 3000 square metres (3600 sq. yd.) heated warehouse, 1100 square metres (1325 sq. yd.) in offices (on 3 floors), and a spacious marshalling area for road trucks. Cargo transit or goods arriving for clearance under customs bond are unloaded and stored at all times under cover so as to offer continuous protection from the elements. Sigma Trans has its own customs brokerage operation at Milan抯 intercontinental airport - Malpensa, offering airport services worldwide plus 24 hour customs clearance facilities 7 days a week.
