The ATE Group of Companies was founded in 1976 in Asia with a vision and desire to become a force in the emerging Asian export market. This first company began as an airfreight forwarding entity. By 1980, many new companies were joining our network and "The ATE Group" expanded into ocean forwarding and NVOCC. Establishing a reputation for offering our customers a more effective and personalized service, members of the ATE Group flourished and grew, and soon were joined by more companies from additional Asian ports. The first USA member of the ATE Group opened in 1983 at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. The relationships that members of the ATE Group established in Asia, as well as the strong economic growth of the Pacific Rim enabled the ATE Group to further develop its network of company's in the USA and Canada throughout the 1980's. In recent years, members of the ATE Group have been aggressive in developing other strategic locations. We currently have representation throughout Asia, including 11 offices in China alone. We also are located in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand and Malaysia to name only a few. In 1991, ATE recognized the Atlanta area as an emerging opportunity and entered the Atlanta marketplace. ATE Logistics has grown to become the South East’s leader in Far East Transportation. All companies who participate in the ATE Group network are educated to provide available service to their constituencies through commitment, dedication and quality. The coordination of all shipping activities, customer/employee service programs and information technologies, enable the ATE Group to reduce costs and increase efficiency. The ATE Group of Companies now extends worldwide in more than 147 locations, with more than 1,500 employees at the disposal of participating members. While each Group Company is independently owned and operated, Customer-Orientation and Total Quality programs enable us to continuously grow in a competitive market environment.
