Pak Elektron Limited (PEL) was established in 1956 under the technical collaboration of AEG Germany and since then has been serving the power sector providing efficient, reliable and cost effective solutions across all segments of the energy market. In October, 1978, the company has become a part of Saigol Group which is a renowned name in the field of engineering, energy and textile sectors. Under this group following companies are being run: ? Appliances Division Under this division home appliances comprising of Refrigerators, Air Conditioners, Deep Freezers, Washing Machines, Water Dispensers and Microwave Ovens are being manufactured. PEL has also at present distribution of LG for their products in Pakistan and a Joint Venture Agreement with LG for manufacturing their products in Pakistan is also in process. 2. Power Division PEL is manufacturer of electrical equipment in Pakistan having a complete range of Distribution Transformers (dry‐type and oil‐immersed), Power Transformers, Energy Meters and Switchgear.
