Sarajevo is the country's primary air freight gateway. Sarajevo International Airport (SJJ) serves as the central hub with regular connections to key European destinations. Banja Luka International Airport (BNX) complements the national air freight infrastructure and serves as an alternate gateway for charter operations. Bosnia and Herzegovina has no international deep-sea container port infrastructure. International ocean freight is therefore handled via established Adriatic ports such as Koper, Rijeka, Trieste, and Bar, which are connected to the country through road and rail corridors, ensuring efficient multimodal transport solutions. Road transport is the backbone of national logistics, as the majority of goods are transported by truck. It plays a key role not only in domestic distribution, but also in pre- and on-carriage for air and ocean freight shipments, providing reliable overland connections for import and export. In Warehouse services are available as an additional option, including storage for bonded and non-bonded goods as well as ADR-compliant cargo.
